2019 Cambridge Celebration of the Arts set to host more artists than ever before

Earlier today, City staff unveiled the artist lineup for this year’s Cambridge Celebration of the Arts. This favourite annual event features local artists showcasing their talents in the visual, performing and literary arts.

This year, juried art from more than 20 local artists will be on display along with readings from six literary artists and performances by 14 performing artists. With works that range across multiple mediums and genres, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

New this year, the event will also host several craft vendors. Event-goers can also enjoy food from local restaurants Bombay Sizzler and 13 Food & Beverage, four food trucks including Beavertails, Crazy Canuck, Pit Stop Grill and Megacone Creamery, along with drinks from Grand River Brewing and Magnotta Winery.

When: Friday, June 14, 6-10 p.m.
Where: Cambridge City Hall and surrounding area

Also onsite will be the Cambridge Art Attic which runs June 13-15. Sponsored by the Cambridge Arts Guild, this annual fundraising event features a silent auction and sale of art donated by community members. All proceeds from the auction support Cambridge Centre for the Arts events such as Cookies and Kids, the Juried Art Show and the Cambridge Studio Tour and Sale. The Art Attic will be open on Friday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
