General Camp Information
Days and Times
Camps are Monday to Friday except for shorter week around Canada Day and Civic Holiday. The main arts activities run 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (with lunch and other breaks). Children can be dropped off between 8:30 - 9 a.m. and picked up between 4 - 4:30 p.m. Before Care (7:30 - 8:30 a.m.) and/or After Care (4:30 - 5:30 p.m.) are also available for an extra fee when registering so please make sure to choose this fee as well when registering if required. Summer student staff supervise these extended care times with opportunities for informal games and activities.
How to Register
On-line registration is available at www.cambridge.ca/coral. You can also register in person at any City of Cambridge recreation centre, including the Centre for the Arts, and City Hall.
Membership Discount
Members of the arts centre automatically receive a 15% discount on camp fees. Memberships are annual for individuals (including children) or groups (including families). Visit www.cambridge.ca/coral for fee info and to purchase a membership (or in person). Make sure to fully complete and pay for the membership purchase first, then register and pay for camps so the member discount is applied to the fees. Individual membership should be for the child who will be registered in the arts centre camp.
Drop Off, Pick Up and Parking
Children should be dropped off and picked up at the summer camp entrance on Wellington Street that is next to the large door with the colorful mural just down from the intersection of Dickson and Wellington Street. Parking is available in the lot that is across from the intersection. Please park in the 2 hour parking spots (not the David Durward Centre permit area).

Join us for a week of wonder and whimsy! Combining arts and crafts and theatre, bring your curious imaginations to build worlds of fairy gardens, mermaid grottos, and dragons' dens through costume, art, and sculpture! Ages 6-9.

Calling all campers with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit! Learn about the creative process of business with Design Studio. Design your own unique business from the ground up- start with logos, brainstorm products and services, draw blueprints, and build dioramas! Ages 8-12.

Get ready for a creative digital design adventure that your children will love! In this exciting program, kids will learn to use digital pen tablets to draw and sketch, bringing their imagination to life through digital art. Using Tux Paint, they will explore computer literacy through fun drawing activities, complete with sound effects to enhance the experience.
Kids will also discover Maker's Empire, a fun and easy app to create and share 3D designs, and they'll design exciting visual presentations using Google Slides with custom fonts, themes, videos, and more. To add to the fun, they’ll create and play with their own Kahoot! quizzes, building their own interactive learning games. Led by an instructor from Stemotics and a summer Program Assistant. Ages 6-9.

| LEGO Spike Prime Robotics & Minecraft Coding (Ages 8-12) |

During the LEGO Spike Prime Robotics camp, kids will kick off by building a driving base and mastering block-based programming to navigate through simple mazes. Dive into maze challenges which foster troubleshooting skills and teamwork. Assemble dancing robots, explore creative programming and engage in a friendly dance-off. The afternoon of Minecraft camp will first explore the tools and capabilities of the Minecraft Education Edition interface. Campers will learn the fundamentals of building and creating various structures, including buildings, swimming pools, and aquariums, using block-based coding. They will also be introduced to coding language sequencing, conditions and loops. Campers will present their programmed creations and share their learnings at a design showcase. Rock and Roll all night and every day in our Music Video Production workshop. Mentored by master filmmakers, campers will engage in hands-on exploration of the music video production process. Working collaboratively in small crews, they will learn about cinematography specific to music videos and advanced editing techniques. Using an existing pop culture song, campers will listen to the lyrics, and create their own story and meaning. They will then act in and edit their full music video. Each film crew will use a Macbook, Final Cut Pro, an HD camera, tripod, green screen and aerial drone. Projects will be presented at our Red Carpet Film Festival and archived on our digital theatre. Make large and small whimsical wire sculptures of animals, people and more, to display in the home or garden.
